The lives of Redbridge individuals misplaced and adjusted within the Covid-19 pandemic are remembered on a path of a whole lot of stones left by their family members.
The stones are on the centre of the Redbridge Covid-19 Memorial Backyard in Valentines Park, Ilford.
Individuals from across the borough attended the revealing of a plaque close to the bandstand to recollect these misplaced to and affected by Covid-19 on Saturday.
Redbridge Council held a tribute ceremony at 11am on Saturday.

The council’s deputy chief Cllr Kam Rai mentioned: “The pandemic was an extremely tough time for all of us, many misplaced family members, and all of us needed to sacrifice and alter the way in which we lived to maintain each other protected from the virus. I’m extremely proud that all through probably the most difficult durations of the pandemic, our communities got here collectively and supported our neighbours – exhibiting how sturdy our group spirit is right here in Redbridge.
“When planning the Redbridge Covid-19 Memorial Backyard, we took inspiration from native individuals and artists in residence at Ilford’s SPACE Studios to verify the memorial mirrored our group.
“We hope this area offers a quiet refuge for native individuals to replicate, bear in mind and pay their respects.”
